Got $550,000 to spend? Need a non-street legal toy? You probably saw this concept a while ago, but now they are really building them. A 500 horsepower Viper V-10 oughta get 'er done! http://www.allpar.com/cars/concepts/tomahawk.html
...The Dodge Tomahawk can reach 60 miles an hour in about 2.5 seconds, and has a theoretical top speed of nearly 400 mph. Each pair of wheels is separated by a few inches and each wheel has an independent suspension. Bernhard said four wheels were necessary to handle the power from the engine.
What makes it NOT street legal...it's top speed of 300-400 mph...or it acceleration of 1.9-2.5 seconds to 60 mph?.. or just an emission thing? Put some lights on this puppy, remove the governers, and lets take it down Van Nuys Blvd. on Wednesday night! Write your congressman... Thank You DMV LivinginthePastSavant
I have bad news for you guys. If you buy it, because of insurance purposes, it is disabled to go faster than 60 or so mph. So you can't drive it down the road with 300 mph. Why is it not street legal? Probably because it is neither a bike (in the true sense) nor an automobile nor an ATV...
