The article that also mentions billion dollar hedge funds Passport Capital and SAC own a piece of DeMark's Market Studies Co. Yes correct. And Cooperman, Tisch, Soros, P T Jones etc etc were previous customers/employers. And my question to you - means nothing, right? BTW though not that it makes a difference but Bloomberg leases, on a monthly basis, not sells his studies.
Right. These guys experiment with all kinds of ideas. That's why the key word in your sentence above is "previous." Robert Prechter, who's been a secular bear since '89, is a much bigger influence on PTJ than Demark ever was. Are we going to start a thread about his EW calls next? They've been pretty awful from an objective standpoint. However, some will probably say they "work" if you mix them with a boatload of other indicators and subjective mumbo jumbo.
Hey something I agree with whole heartedly. More influence on P T Jones. Nah. As far as previous worked with - things do change ya know. In the past most sports hall of fame athletes played for one team. No longer. Doesn't dimish what they accomplished during their career if they move around. It does if they moved around back down to the minor leagues though. DeMark has moved and continues to move in the big leagues. No matter what the peanut gallery of "Elite" Trader thinks and can't accept.
I have td sequential as a ts indicator and a strategy with multiple inputs. The indicator is random in terms of results, there is no edge here after testing it as a strategy, going back 10 years, with multiple frames, and multiple markets, to find some advantage or edge. NOTHING HERE, LOOK ELSEWHERE. demark doesnt trade so remember the old axiom, those who can, do, those who can't, teach. He teaches or sells his indicators.
Yeah and PTJ has copies of that Prechter monthly black book all over the office. Bathroom reading at best.
And those who can't, teach, criticize or write on the bathroom wall. Some are still in school I guess. Meanwhile DeMark just keeps .......... getting paid. And I keep finding setups that if I were to post would overload ET's servers. Merry, merry.
yet you fail to call out at least one trade setup in real-time so that we can finally see the wizard of oz behind those curtains
look, the strategy in TS programmed with sequential logic, has been tested on numerous issues, going back 10 years, the system is at best a "churner". No need to make any calls in real time. The system has been proven statistically to have no edge.
