If you're talking about whether hospitals and doctors get more money when a death has COVID attached to it, this is an established fact from the CARES act. Are you debating this is not true? If you agree that this is true, the only logical way that it does not happen is if you believe that all hospitals and doctors are 100% truthful and not, in any way, trying to get more money from said CARES act in order to stave off financial difficulties from being forced to cancel elective surgery. And you also believe that human beings never commit crimes, never twist the truth and are 100% honest in all things. Is that your stance?
My stance is Covid is the third leading cause of death in America and should not be trivialized. Defrauding the government is a serious crime and there are measures in place to detect fraud. Is there some fraud, probably but not widespread. For example, it was argued people did not die of Covid but underlying health conditions but let’s take a look at Trump. He was not in the hospital for obesity or heart disease. He was not treated with heart medications. He was in the hospital for Covid and was treated with medicines approved for Covid- which probably saved his life. No one in their right mind would have said he died of heart disease if he didn’t make it even though he had underlying conditions. Anyway, I do not like getting off track. This discussion is t even interesting to me because the stance that Covid deaths is inflated due to massive fraud is absurd and not true.
You brought the topic up, I didn't. You may believe the stance that COVID deaths are inflated is absurd and not true, but you cannot prove that any more than those who are saying it is inflated can prove their assertion. So we're left with what would be more probable. And, to me, if hospitals are in a situation where they are financially hurting - badly - and you give them a chance to earn more money through coding (which is a notoriously questionable process anyway) and then you say you won't be auditing this, well don't be surprised if that is what happens. What's the expression about showing me the incentive and I'll show you the behavior?

If you are referring to the questioning of the article I posted, I can refer you to the article's author and we can send a joint email asking the question. But I have posted numerous data and analysis on COVID on these forums, mainly in the DeSantis thread. I welcome any and all challenges, should you determine you are worthy to issue them.
