I consider myself a bit of an audiophile and on Sat. nights I listen to music for at least three hours or more. I've put together a pretty good 2 channel system that I enjoy much more than TV or movies. Some of what I played: Allman Brothers - Live at the Filmore East Doors - Live in New York Eva Cassidy - Live at Blues Alley Just realized I listened to a lot of Live stuff but they are all very good recordings which is a must. I'm sure hardly anyone has heard of Eva Cassidy and she is never played on the radio but I feel she is one of the best female vocalist ever. http://www.amazon.com/Live-Blues-Al...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1297728122&sr=1-1

Dude are you trolling, lost your mind, gone mad??? Ever heard of Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Robert Plant, Ozzy, Billy Gibbons, Ted Nugent? If you don't like these legends, then go "bark at the moon". (I know, you don't get it.) I can say it. Today's music is crap! Wait, did I use the term, "music"? My bad.
The joke of it is, even those that realize 99% of todays music is pretty much insipid dogshit, probably like the crap of the past. I have always had an advanced musical taste. But you could have figured that out. As for not shaaaarrrring my nominees, that would fall into the pearls before swine category, and I have promised the local authorities I would not partake of that activity.
Thank you for the reminder of how good they are. I was forgetting about them lately. I was listening to them continuously when "Fever to tell" came out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70sT1py0m-s There are really good groups today like them or Interpol, Frank Black... It's just that what they choose to put on the radio that is terrible, dance and hip hop things. A friend of mine pretended the other day that if it was on the radio, it was because everyone likes it. It's laughable. Nobody has a real opinion on what they put on the radio at first, it is just that listening continuously to it, you start to accept it and like it a bit.
