You are waffling. Show anyone here, not just me, that a zygote has a consciousness, and an identity/personality.

Even El Gato, who is a master of debate on this forum, will not broach this subject with a 39 1/2 foot pole, because he knows the validity of the argument. And he brings up a valid point regarding wasted sperm in a fifi bag...

Trillions and trillions of unborn humans are murdered every damned day, because even if your cum fertilizes an egg, you have murdered all the others by not fertilizing an egg. Don't you understand how fucking moronic you sound? Sheesh!

    Martin Luther for teh win!

  3. Even though moving the decisions to the states - assuming some goofy fed law attempts fail- will result in lots of states having abortions legalized, I am nevertheless hopeful and - dare I say- confident that Ralph Northam type infanticide abortions will end in many places. Such killings are beyond belief and unconstitutional as hell without regard to either Roe or Dobbs. A viable "fetus" born alive is a United States citizen under the constitution and entitled to protections and the appointment of a guardian, and entitled to receive emergency life saving medical care without regard to their ability to pay or speak for themselves. This bullshit- as with Ralph Northam's scenarios where the born baby is held by a nurse "and kept comfortable" as Ralph describes until the baby dies is flat out unlawful and barbaric.

And there are *lots* of pro-choice, pro-abortion types that are not in favor of it. It is disgusting.

The thing that the pro-choice lefties like to point out and harp upon is that the polls show that half or more of Americans support access to abortion. Where it gets tricky though and where they need to watch their arse is that the polls are very clear that once you get past the first trimester the support for access to abortions starts to plummet drastically according to the polls. So the lefties need to be careful about getting on some Ralph Northam high where a baby is killed just because it survived an attempted abortion but mamma wanted it to- die- but not knowing this the baby lives -and they try to legalize that type of infanticide. You have lefties who want the right to abort a child all the way through first grade if their new boyfriend does not like kids.

It's bullshit. So conservatives will take some hits in the sense that many states will see abortions made legal even if limited to first trimester. At the same time though, some of these goddam butcherfests at nine months or even after birth that are legal in loon states will see some limitations as well.

I hope anyway. It is disgusting.

    abortions will happen anyway.

The idea is idiotic to begin with. I guess since a person under general anesthesia does not have consciousness it is okay to kill them. Your argument has no validity.

Science clearly states the a fertilized egg is its only entity. There is no debate. You have no argument.

  6. Consciousness is in a dream-like state during anaesthesia

All in all, the findings indicate that consciousness is not necessarily fully lost during anaesthesia, even though the person is no longer reacting to their environment. However, dream-like experiences and thoughts might still float in consciousness. The brain might still register speech and try to decipher words, but the person will not understand or remember them consciously, and the brain cannot construe full sentences from them.

The premise that consciousness is what is required to be considered a life is nonsense.

Atlantic, I dont know what toilet you popped out of, but this ruling is going to have almost no impact abortions or their availability.

The Court got this one right.

  9. Because of the court ruling 13-15 states are going to outlaw abortions. They would still be legal in those states but for this ruling. It is the exact definition of a ruling having an impact on abortions and their availibility.
