I may have been wrong with the short Russel 2k position. I'm flat now, waiting to see what it does next.
Exactly what I was thinking. Perma bear has finally gone soft because of the huge trend that is now behind us...... Where have we seen this before? I haven't checked on Prechter in a while. When he goes bull
If you would consider stopping calling tops and buy a market that just keeps going up you may actually do quite well.
The "correctness" of the call should be determined by the entry and the exit points, and the corresponding trade sizes. Whether the market makes a new high or the new low is actually irrelevant. The OP does not specify his entries and exits (beyond the abstract "I started selling" and "I think the market has topped" statements), so it's impossible to tell the value of the call.
You are talking about trading,it's another matter. The call in itself was correct until today when new highs were made. How/If you can use it in your trading to make money,it's a different subject. As we all know, trading can be profitable without calling highs and lows, and it can be non-profitable even though you are able to call some tops or bottoms
Sorry, I didn't specify my entry and exit point. I am holding short position at 1589.6. My target would be below 1537(first target). This is my second trading. My first trade was that I sold at 1595.4 and exited at 1540. I am talking the points in the chart that my broker provides me. I trade contact for difference of s&p500 index and dow jones index.
I am not grandsupercyle. I only saw his thread before on this forum. If you have been sarcastic, please get out of my thread.
