How we doing fellas? Here is the scoreboard that I use to get a good general feel for whats up. NYSE NASDAQ Advances 1,404 (43%) 1,234 (40%) Declines 1,742 (53%) 1,702 (55%) Unchanged 118 (4%) 145 (5%) Up Vol* 761 (51%) 493 (46%) Down Vol* 723 (48%) 514 (49%) Unch. Vol* 17 (1%) 53 (5%) New Hi's 296 192 New Lo's 70 62 This doesnt look convincing to me. This tells me that traders are sticking with a relatively few stocks to make their gains. There are many declining stocks, but they are sticking with the "good" stocks. This is not a good thing, not a good thing at all. The reason is becauseif anything happens to any of the leading stocks, anything at all, then the indexes will fall quickly without any support from the minor stocks. On my yahoo chart below, we see some strength in the value stocks today meaning that investors are bearish and back into the value plays. So its value on a narrow breadth. That doesnt sound like an index that will break up through the cup. <!-- Start of Yahoo! I'll bet he only has a 16" CRT too huh Stock? No living in the lap of luxury with 17 inches CRT beauty like you and I huh?
Yeah, those 17" monitors are awesome! I bet some day they'll come out with even bigger ones and we'll be on top of the world, looking down on it through the likes of whopping 21" monitors running on Pentium IIIs! Man, the future is going to be cool! I hope you didn't wake up stock_turder, he gets mad if you wake him up from his nap and there aren't milk an cookies waiting for him. Here he is:
Michael Scott, Could you please put your initials on your thread titles so I won't have to accidentally click on your threads ever again? Thanks (I am not able to see any of your replies but I hope you do it).
"You very well could be right . However, since 1990 the Friday the 13th trading days have seen the markets close positive 70% of the time." These statistics are just too ridiculous now. Im so sick of hearing these cheesy statistics.
michaelscott, your attempts to deny your failure are hilarious. You started off talking about a triple top in the S&P 500 but now you claim to be shorting some individual stocks you've never mentioned before and the NASDAQ. Get a grip, you're just making a fool of yourself.
