Thanks for the support, I need it. My downfall this week had a lot to do with what was going on at my house. Ultimately though, it was my poor judgment in many different ways. I will try and dig myself out next week by making a couple adjustments.
1) From Thursday, the 29th, an additional tick of slippage on a 3-lot of crude oil could have taken you from -$2975 to -$3005, triggering the daily limit! 2) At that point, I don't know if you can continue trading for the remainder of the day after you offset the open position, even if the market recovers in your favor before offsetting.
Yeah, barely got by in a very non-pro like manner. I should have stopped earlier, but I didn't and got lucky I didn't bust it.
Day10 Could not seem to get it together today. I am in a massive slump right now and combine account is slowly deteriorating. Finished $-2940 today, my third bad day in a row. If I am going to pass the combine at this point, I am going to have to snap my losing streak, have a few big days, and more than likely increase my lot size per trade when I get a little bit more of a buffer in my account. Losing days are usually rare for me, I just have been completely out of sync with the market and not psychologically in the game like I should be. Tomorrow is going to be critical for me if I want to continue in the combine. Going to get some rest now. TraderToad
Now you're trading just to game the combine. Forget about trying to pass THIS combine. Spend the rest of the days trading your setups in the ideal manner with the ideal position size and see what the results look like.
I failed the combine today by exceeding my limits. Overall, it was a good experience trying out for my first combine and I now know what to expect from their program in the future. I just wish I would have finished as strong as I started. TST has an incredible program and I recommend it to anyone just getting started in trading. I was kind of skeptical about starting this thread at first, but thought it might be a good idea, especially if I could get another shot at a combine in the future at a discounted rate. Anyway, that did not happen, but I did learn from many of you and developed a really good relationship in the process. I will not be starting any other threads about future combines on ET. Good luck to all of you and thank you for all of the advice.
