A sure sign that fascism is taking hold in America:

Willie Nelson cited for pot, mushrooms

LAFAYETTE, Louisiana (AP) -- Willie Nelson, 73, and four others were issued misdemeanor citations for possession of narcotic mushrooms and marijuana after a traffic stop Monday morning on a Louisiana highway, state police said. The citations were issued after a commercial vehicle inspection of the country music star's tour bus, state police said in a news release.

"When the door was opened and the trooper began to speak to the driver, he smelled the strong odor of marijuana," the news release said.

A search of the bus produced 1 1/2 pounds of marijuana, and 0.2 pounds of narcotic mushrooms, according to state police.

  2. Well....................................
He was a highwayman, along the coachroads, he did ride-sword and pistol, by his side.

    Cant trust them types, saxon:)

To serve-themselves, however they see fit.

To protect-their image and reputation, no matter, what facts, jurisprudence, commonsense or rational thought might get in the way of these two important factors.

  3. Whoa, what does this have to do with politics or religion???

    Willie Nelson, busted for drugs????
WHAT is the world coming to, its unheard of. PROHIBITION KILLS.
Dubya only smells money, he cant smell good tunes, for sure.

  4. More than a pound of grass and a few ounces of mushrooms... that is felony possession according to the laws of the land. So, the laws should not be applied to the rich and famous and only to the poor, or to everyone irrespective of their economic and social status?

  5. Im just saying, the laws are stupid.
Its a lot of hootch, but its willie nelsons tour bus, with muso's, roadies and probably some groupies, not a kombi van with a couple of stoners in it.

And i suspect they knew, willie's a bit of a pothead-a substance that contains nicotine, an addictive and LEGAL drug.
Instead of coming up with anything resembling an effective way for people to get off drugs, they employ a bunch of power mad sadists to "enforce" the law, which in most of these instances is 100%
    counterproductive.

Im surprised willie didnt think of this before though, and get better ventilation etc, he must have known he'd be targeted on the road-again sooner or later.

  6. I like how the Feds are now arresting owners of international gaming companies. Becoming the only superpower has not done us any good. Increasingly, we have to fear our own government. But we're just another empire circling down the drain... there will be many lessons for this country in the next couple of decades. Unfortunately, we're going to learn about humility the hard way when we try to control and occupy other countries.
