Take a ride through the south today,you will so many confederate flags you would think the Confederacy won the war

 

What confederate South , are you still stuck 150+ years in the past or something?

 

Some of the most racially polarized areas of the country are in the large cities, all over the country. The people in these areas usually elect democrats. Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, New York and Boston are a few examples.

Seems you are a bit ignorant on the subject. the popularity of the CSA is because it represents the continuation of the ideals of the founding fathers not the leviathan of the Imperil federal gubbermint we have today.

 

And many in the south still proudly display the confederate flag of the confederate states of america today ,the confederate states of america that succeeded and fought to keep African Americans as slaves

 

They fought to keep from being forced back into the union.

 

So?

They fought the highly asymmetrical burden of taxation that was used in turn to subjugate them.

Remember at that time fed revenue was tariff based.
