Mr. Dodge try putting in a limit order with a limit that won't get filled just to see if your broker accepts the order. and let us know the result
Either that or I know something you don't. -Most- ECNs shutdown after the main session for 15-20 minutes. It's ok, you only have 400 posts... Regards,
ECN's don't shut down after the main session for 15-20 minutes, maybe some crappy brokers do, but the ECN's do not.
You obviously have NO IDEA what you are doing . . . You simply listed a bunch of brokers and their execution hours. This has nothing to do with ECN's. TMA is currently trading at 1.60 (300 shares) with the last trade at 5:11:45
Just traded two 1900 share pieces at $1.60 and now a 500 share print at 1.62 which is the current offer, at 5:22:23 Eastern standard time.
Yeah - I'm obviously a newbie. With regard to the NYSE - market makers don't work after-hours. You are only trading with the brokers and their inventory, so yeah, they matter. I didn't think that needed mentioning. Regards, edit: here's NASDAQ's policy:
i can count the amount of posts i have on my fingers and toes, but your statements just are not true. I do alot of volume after hours and trading does not stop from 4-4:20
