I just spoke with the Canadian Trading Headquarters in Montreal (very nice guys). They informed me that the Charlotte Headquarters does not really trade, per se. Any traders that work there do so for corporate testing and R&D purposes only.
Training is minimal at swift. 98% self taught. 2% is here is a level 2, here are some times in the day stocks might reverse, and here are the times and days that some significant economic numbers come out. Go and make some money. Payouts are not the best when compared to other prop firms. You need to make some serious coin to make it worth while. Also depending on the office, the daily stops are tight. Been prepared to grind it out. Learn as much as you can and move on to the bigger better deal. Just my two cents.
Hello guys. It's been some time since I posted last time. I am actually with Title Trading again but different branch. it is a new one and amazingly unlike Scarborough (Chinese) branch they do have Demo . I remember Swift Trade demo and this one like a real live platform. No difference at all. The only thing is that limit orders cannot be placed but I do not use them anyway. They let people who never traded stocks before to learn. On one hand desk fee is $350 and pay out to start only 40%, but on the other hand we do not pay any fees. Company pays. We pay only 1 tick spread. This one is a new office. It 's been around for about 3 months. And visually this one is the best office I have ever seen. But cause it is Brampton industrial zone I think costs can be lower than say Richmond Hill or Toronto. Anyway, i believe $350 desk fee has something to do with this and that office has no experienced traders for now. Everyone is a newbie. Experience is good so far. I have not had a losing day so far. Trading Forex obviously has been helpful as I have leaned a lot during this year. The office is taking new traders now. If anyone feels like doing this can apply. I see boss interviewing new traders daily. I have had much experience during this year and is a different kind of trader. What I have learned is: go with those who give MONEY to trade. Forex is not easy to get those money. Trading retail funds is not a solution. I prefer trading firms capital and not retail capital from firm's client as it was a case with me. But I see no firms giving money to trade FX, so, I decided to go stocks/ commodities using my Forex record. Things might be different but trader's discipline, risk control and other psychological factors important in trading are same across all markets. This is a new office and I am very interested that this office succeeds. so, if anyone is interested to start there, please MP me and I will give the phone. The more guys trade the more chances for a great team to be built.
Is there a Title Trading in Ottawa? Phone number or address? I sent an email to HO but haven't received a reply.
I don't know of one in Ottawa. After I spoke with the head office in Montreal they promised me the Toronto office would call me, which never happened. I called back and they said they would pass on the request, but still nothing. The Montreal office manager would not even give me the Toronto number (wtf!?)
