Title Trading

  1. Actually the order fragmentation makes things quite a lot fun. Since you have to deal constantly with getting rid of lots stock when you have a huge spread and no size... that can teach you a couple of things about cutting your losses that you wont really learn while trading GE getting out at -0.03; you cant just hit market sell on that one, or the specialist´ll eat you alive. Quite a lot of fun.

You wouldn't happen to be working for the rotterdam affiliate by any chance would you:)

I say that because they seem to be using an outsourced trading platform called hydratrade which I am curious if its internet/java based or not (is it also used company wide or does each affiliate choose which trading platform to go with). I always thought this would prove to be a more stable alternative not to mention possible cost savings.

Given that you work for them could you also let us know how is the risk management done? Do you also have a stop loss of 50 bux? thanks

  3. I live.work in Victoria Canada, as per my profile.

Yes we 'seem' to be Hydra, and it is company wide. Dont know what internet based' is. Its not java i know that.

Risk management is again branch by branch. You have a stop out set for you (not electronic lockout) and you obey it. More of a work together approach instead of a iron fist.

  4. I dont even work there and I am bias.

Let me think about this............... 35% payout a graduation limit, that changes every day, and a software that can't stay stable for more than 3 hours or you could start from day one with 50% and have a slightly bigger ticket charge but software that will run circles around pisspoorpro.

    Lets see..............................

hello TITLE.... I thank you for providing these traders a better opportunity and anyone that can make money at swift can do the numbers....

    MM,

3 hours, that sounds like a slight exaggeration. (although ppro has it's moments)

Does Title have access to LSE, TSX, Euronext? (or plans to add any European exchanges?)

There is no graduation threshold at Canadian branches of swift anymore and commissions are capped at $2000/month. (granted you have to make almost 17000 trades to get there, I used to do that frequently... although not anymore...)

To the OP, get as many opinions as possible from those at swift and title (especially those who might have traded at both).

  6. I heard that Title is having serious delay problems in china when the volume spikes at the open and close...

Don, even if the list is on the SHO you still need to borrow it.

  7. With Euronext being part of NYSE anycompany that has access to NYSE quotes right now will have access to it, It's not that big of a deal as it was 1.5 year ago when they were planning on it. Same with TSX, 3 years ago very few had access to TSX in Canada, with TSX trying to make money opening up ECN same thing any company will have access to it, Swift might be the first for few months but thats it. As far as plans go, lets not forget swift planned on getting charts for more than 2 years, been planning euronext for 1, planning LSE for 1.5, while other companies like Infinium Capital plan for 1-2 months and do it.

  9. "Training" is a joke in my opinion. If there is any firm or person out there who can train a new trader to make money trading the markets, why isn't that person rich?

My own opinion is that one can only discover through losses how to trade. NO ONE can teach it to you. My training at Swift many years ago included a bit of rules and the software. If they taught me specific strategies to make money, I'd still be there!

If Title can teach you how to make money, please post it on this board and I'm sure 100's of people will flock to them!

    My 2cents worth.

Very good post ThePropTrader...there are many people on ET that claim those that teach can't trade, which is complete horeshit.

Case in point, look at the turtles.
