Title Trading

  1. yes. it is $20 and 100 shares. I notice that i take mostly proper positions but hot keys are killing me. What is bad, they do not have demo and it is live trading from day one. I would prefer 2 weeks on demo to learn mechanics how to use hot keys and general practice. Trading money right away is too stressful.

  2. yes, with $20 it is not easy. You can reach this limit quite easy especially if you are not good with hot keys.

  3. Frankly, we are left to figure it out on our own. It is ok, but I would prefer a couple of weeks with demo, than live money. It is just too stressful to trade live right away with no experience.

  4. I used to be a teacher once, so, I can only say that Swift or title. They all do not know a shit of how to teach people to trade. I am sure it can be done.

  5. Earth to ET, this is how swift/title/wts/gmmi etc etc 'train' traders.

You show them the keys, tell them what arb and nsdq are, show them SPY and tell them stocks follow it, then throw them on F and all the other crappy stocks and make them figure it out.

The cream rises, and the crappy ones are weeded out as fast as possible. Once the office forms a 'critical mass' of a few decent traders, diversity and synergy will be created, and the snowball of profitability is started. Rinse/repeat, rinse repeat untill\ the manager hires a trainer, and starts doing nothing but collecting cheques. Then the traders that are good save their money, get pissed off, and go open their own accounts or offices to avoid shitty payouts.

    What an industry!

  10. whowah

Which Title branch are you with ? I cant recall if you told us.

how long does it take before you move up to more shares and does your loss limits go up proportionatly.

do you have a loss from top limit also ?

I am curiouds because I am thinking of starting with Title.

I would not be too stressed out about trading live. especially for 100 shares. You are probably being taught to trade for ECN credits and must place live orders to give realistic results.

Pick a list of a few active stocks that trade in narrow ranges to trade for now. Price range 1 to 4 .Trade 1 or 2 at a time only to start. Ford probably isnt a bad choice as you won't be holding overnight positions.
