  3. Voodoo juice update. I had my appointment today with the Specialist at the University of Chicago Hospital. Had the basic check up and hearing test. The long and short of it is he told me what I already knew...no cure, deal with it.
I have been taking the voodoo juice remedy for 14 days now. As I wrote earlier, there seemed to be a quick one day of slight relief followed by an immediate relapse which lasted for 8 days. For the past 6 days running I have what I'll call a 25% reduction in the ringing for the right ear. Left ear has become what it was prior to 3 weeks ago, very slight and very infrequent. The "remedy" has enough of a positive effect to stick with it. Other than that, I, like everyone else with Tinnitus, will just learn to live with it. All in all, it's not THAT bad, but there are those days which it just grinds on ya'.

  5. The cure has been found. Well, almost. I wanted to let this play out for a couple months to make sure it wasn't just a fluke. I'm still drinking the voodoo juice and have added a couple of things which have produced very good results. Ringing is down a noticable 60% almost every day. Took a couple weeks to develop, and then a couple more to be consistant.
This stuff is cheap compared to other remedies I've tried over the years. Add these to things to the voodoo juice and hopefully you'll experience the same results as I have. There are actually entire days go by and I don't notice the ringing at all. It's that faint sometimes.

  6. CO,

Ask your Primary Care doc about Amitriptyline. It's an older drug that was developed for depression but is often prescribed in low doses for other uses. It blocks the brain's perception of pain or perturbation.

    Be well

    lanty

I've recently started experiencing ear ringing. What can be the reason? Can it impact my hearing and what can I do? Thanks in advance.
