  1. Another Sykes Lie: "..I had to shut down my fund in order to detail everything"

You shut down the Fund because you failed your investors, and could not get new investors. You did not shut it down "in order to detail everything.." Nobody cares what your excuses are...

CYGT Excuse/Lie: Everybody knows if your other trades were any good then you could off-set that loss. Your family also knows that Tim, and thats why they do not trust you with their money!

Tim, I have nothing against you. The fact that you are so persistant just means you will eventually reach your goals.. whatever they may be.

The problem that I have with you, is not that you are self-promoting. (Donald Trump is a master of self-promotion.. and well far richer than everyone here.)

My issue with you is that you remind me of a younger form of Al Bundy (scoring 4tds at Polk High.. only to spend the rest of his life trying to tell anyone of his glorious moment) You are holding onto a past when many traders (and housewives) turned 10k into millions. I was at a prop firm sitting across from newbies who were making 20k plus a day. Hell you had whiz kids on Oprah, grannies with investment books, and well kids who turned their bar mitvah money into a million dollars.

Its quite an accomplishment to be where you are at. But I would be more impressed if you were a trader at Goldman or had a real fund that consistently made real money. Nobody wants to hear about your failures in one stock. Everyone has stories about how they lost money.

What are you going to say when you are 25 or 35? That you turned your bar Mitzvah money into a million dollars??? Oh wait, I guess you are already 25.

  4. I agree with your statement--my legacy will not be in my ability to make a few million, but instead to teach people about the risks and rewards associated with financial speculation. This I know very well and there's a massive problem with average people not understanding these subjects.

A real trader proves himself every single day in the market, CONSISTENTLY, day in and day out, repeat your amazing performance instead of using it as an advertising tool.

And no, Tim, I have nothing against you personal, just against the snake oil talk in this business.

  6. 1) You didn't turn anything into a "few million" or $2M you snake oil salesman.

You turned it into $1.65M PRE-TAX and this was years ago

    2) You make a huge mis-assumption that all these "average people not understanding these subjects" would actually choose to learn from YOU ! You are the last person anyone wants to learn form or be around. You're an abrasive failure. No one wants to know anything from you. Live with it.

  7. Another Sykes Lie on the cover of the book in the title: "..How I made $2 Million.."

  8. 1. If you'd read the book, you'd see the $1.65 million was before I started my hedge fund. You seem to forget that before CYGT, my fund was up 70% from 2003-2005. While I was running my fund, I simply could never talk about those gains and thats why you hear that 12k to 1.65mil statement over and over again. Understand better?

    2. Average people have chosen me--maybe you'd like to answer all my emails? I didn't ask for it, but now that I'm hear I'm gonna push forward

  9. The most amazing thing to me is that with each new Sykes thread, there are many here who spend their time commenting, ripping, etc. and keeping Tim's threads alive and well.

We all get the point - many of you do not like Tim. Many points very well put. Do these points need to be regurgitated daily?

I know it's easy to get carried away in a thread as I have done the same, but sometimes you just need to take a step back and a deep breath. Let it pass.

Can you imagine how little of Tim we would see if there was NO posts in his new threads? Sooner or later, the thread and originator would fall off the map. I have nothing against Tim but if you are in the 'I hate Tim camp' then it may be worthwhile to just stop posting in his threads. I would venture a guess that his threads would quickly disappear into the depths of the ET abyss if he was the only one posting in his threads.
