This week tastyworks added crypto. You can trade Bitcoin, BitcoinCash, Etherium, and Litecoin. Commissions are 1% to enter and 1% to exit but capped at a total of $10. I don't know how this compares to a regular bitcoin exchange. At the moment you can only go long I guess that's how it works but you can enter a fractional amount like .00001 or .25 etc. I haven't plunged into yet but might split a few k into each basket as a long term play. I don't day trade so don't see myself being too active in crypto rather just buy and hold. But I do see there are bitcoin options on one of the exchanges BIvance or something like that. Spreads look horrible but hey maybe buy some straddles and gamma scalp em.
Kraken https://www.kraken.com/ is a reputable US based exchange that trades lots of different coins and offers leverage as well as shorting to US users which is something a lot of other exchanges don't.
I forgot to mention Binance, definitely the best until unavailable. They have a US sister site but haven't used it myself
I'm not for cryptocurrencies but I have added 4 of them to my portfolio. I used literally less than half of a percent of my assets in them. If they go to zero then so be it. But I can feel the euphoria and hype of not only stocks but literally every asset class on this globe as the bubble grows and grows. The trillions the fed continues to print is making its way to every corner of the world including cryptocurrencies...Eventually crypto and all asset classes will collapse but right now the fun just continues and continues thanks to the fed and Mr powell and his printing press....
For me Crypto has a big big future. Since it got accepted as a real currency and the mainstream acceptance it is gaining. Next to the SPOT wallet I have been stacking over the years I'm also trading in the Futures market on Binance.com. As said, this is a heart attack market but with proper risk management you can go a very long way! Right now I'm in a discord but sadly can't post the link.... hit me up if you interrested!
If the buy price and selling price are both at 2% higher premium to BTC, then it pretty much mimics bitcoin, doesn't it?
