Just think about which Jews survived the holocaust or which families survived the bubonic plague. Or which families survived the atomic bombs on Hiroshima. Or which people survived Pompeii. Or which bankers in the world Trade center survived 911.
Hmmm. The bubonic plague was probably some kind of DNA thing that made some immune. 911 was luck. Pompeii... more luck. The Holocaust.... I agree 100%. I sometimes wonder if I would have had the inner fortitude to make it thru all that.
I bought an investment property in 2012 for 180k a nice little home, nice yard in a centralized location. Now its worth close to 300k and the area is gentrifying quickly. Funny thing is I almost did not buy it thinking it might go lower. Totally the opposite, homes there now get snatched up quickly when a listing comes up. I am glad to own it now
I always wondered why so many jumped off the cliffs in Saipan in '44. Metaphorically, ....it will happen again.
Tell you what Money Trust...I will pay you double the market price for your home/lot right now, but I will only pay you in GOLD! Would you do it?
Can't print gold. Does paper money have any inherent value? If so, it is only because people agree there is value. Gold has inherent properties that make it a store of value.
What inherent properties does gold have besides people's belief that makes it a store of value? And saying that it's been around for millenniums doesn't cut it.
