We have a strong dollar. Oil is probably going to mid-50's after the OPEC meeting. If Gold doesn't move symphatically, gold takes a dip.

If OPEC deal falls apart and Oil takes a dip, gold....well...

Just look at yesterday's price action. Hopeful, dip buyers got slammed. The thread start was probably an emotional response to a call gone wrong. Happens to all us, but he needs to pull himself together. This isn't the Yahoo stock boards. Just a board of Yahoos.

You are right. But I feel like something is coming.
Yesterday's price action was driven by high intraday volatility. Russell, Nasdaq, Gold, EURUSD, Bund, 10 years, Banks : long or short? bull or bear ? We got a strange mix of euphoria and panic. For me, this feeling of "Deja Vu" (summer 2008, august 2011, august 2015) is at least a warning.
Ultimatly, if nothing is clear, gold can gain the upper hand.
Because Bonds are not considered safe-haven anymore. This is all about psychology.
Wait and see, but I am ready to buy Gold & Gold producers (and be long EURUSD if correlation is confirmed).

As ET's panel of experts debates my very valid and intellectual points of contention I cant help but feel they are missing something. Obama has created this massive debt bomb which is targeting the Trump Presidency. Nevermind ISIS's bombs, what about Obamas massive debt bomb?

In a lot of ways today’s dismal gold-stock psychology reminds me of mid-January, when the gold stocks were trading at absurd valuations relative to prevailing gold prices. Instead of looking at their underlying fundamentals, ET's experts were all caught up in the popular fear dominating that time as the gold stocks languished at 13.5-year secular lows. Yet gold stocks would soon nearly triple from those levels!

    Sorry to be antagonistic.

But you have to understand that there a lot of websites pandering to the numerous debt bombs created by every president that came along. You seem to regurgitating the material.

I read all those sites too about more than a decade ago. It's like crack. My favorite site actually aggregated them all and even started the well known Prudent Bear Fund. It's a phase of investing/stock trading puberty. I empathize with you and hope you get thru that phase quick.

Stay away from obscure sites and read professional research for awhile (with a grain of salt of course). Then, move up the food chain with academic and your own research as best you can. It can be voodoo science, chicken bones or tea leaves. But if it makes money, it's good.

But...this was Marketsurfer's strategy, write in such a way as to intentionally provoke a heated debate, a basic form of trolling really. And it works. Psychology 101.

Gold stocks would've go up about 2.5 X from their ABSOLUTE LOW to ABSOLUTE HIGH. Yet I bet you did not even profit from that run,...DID YOU?? I know I DID.

After I got out of my position on 7-11-2016 at $30.43 I have not returned to that trade. Since that time the GDX has taken a nose dive after reaching $31.79. The CHARTS look very different now from then. You are trying to catch a falling knife.

Worked to get him banned and his name and ideas associated with trolling. If you're just desperately screaming "pay attention to me, pay attention to me" like this chump and people pay attention to you then I guess he can say "it worked". If he actually wants anyone to seriously consider his ideas, pretty much abject failure. Of course with what passes for ideas in his mind he'd have a hard time convincing anyone to take him seriously no matter what his tone, so I guess the best he can hope for is someone to pay attention to him, even if it is to point out the sophomoric level of his thought process.

This guy has been banned before, my guess countless times...

I agree with Sig, desperate attempt for attention. He was probably neglected as a child.

Sadly for him it may not be curable, fortunately for us ET has an ignore feature.

List just keeps getting longer and longer.

I haven't been around long enough to know who MarketSurfer is? Can someone enlighten me? I can't figure out how to do a search for that name here. Thanks.

You guys are probably right in that it's best to just ignore him and his threads and he will die off.
