Time for some Virus Protection, Mac Fanboys

  1. I know that Macs only make up a small proportion of internet connected computers but some of the cyber criminals are starting to see them as a soft target, particularly since rather few Apple fanboys have anything like security software installed.

Seems that there is a bounty on your heads.

  2. Well, if you go installing bogus video players and other trinkets, no operating system is going to save you from your own stupidity.

Sounds to me like another vendor of "security software" trying to drum up some business.

  3. These "news" come up from time to time, this is going on for about 5 years now.

If you dig deeper, sources are exclusively press releases by anti-virus vendors.

Just goes to show you that even Mac users should practice safe hex. :)

(Yep, I am a long-time Mac user and a securitygeek for the past 15 years.)
