They matched Circuit City's price but messed up on the rebate. He was suppose to meet me half way from 249 and 289 so I was suppose to get it for 269.... But he took 20 off the 249 and charged me 229. Cheap move buy ehhhh.... I need it more then they do :)

Good for you. Makes up for one of the times it went the other way. :) Was just looking at BestBuy and Circuit City and both places now are charging almost $400 for this. http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Moni...012961+20012965+2828/rpem/ccd/categorylist.do
Oh, well. When I looked at one at Staples yesterday it didn't look very good but then I noticed the monitor settings were set to 4 bit color, so that wouldn't work. Ha. There aren't any BestBuys here in Santa Barbara, but there's one about 30 miles away and I'm going to take a drive down tomorrow after the market closes and also stop at Fry's which is a huge electronics store. :) Enjoy your weekend everyone.

  4. I will Honestly never understand how someone can trade successfully with less than 2 or 3 monitors.

I have (7) and I am getting (2) more. Friggin real estate keeps being used up.

It is nice having more. I just have 2 - 19" and one 21" CRT's now. And it works pretty well. Just depends on what you're trading and how. :) I'm just trading futures right now so it works okay. But I want some lighter ones to lug around when I travel. Posted another thread about hooking up 2 and 3 extra monitors to a laptop. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=71254
I may go that route or just buy a newer desktop.

  6. Hi,

Is all you did is plug them in? Did you need to change any kind of settings in your computers operating system?...Is the same thing on both monitors?

My Dell with Windows XP will accept 2 monitors but I sure don't know much at all about computers..no less 2 monitors so that is why the questions..
    Thanks

    One more question....

Right now I have 2 LCDmonitors hooked up... One in the digital input and one analog input.. I have a old CRT monitor that I "might" be interested in hooking up to keep track of DIA,SPY, and QQQQ. I don't use them that often but would like to keep them up full-time for quick reference.

Do they make a "adaptor" that would allow me to plug my 2 monitors in but only use one plug on the video card? That would free up my analog to allow my CRT to be used? Hope someone knows what I am trying to do.... not even sure they make such a gaget but would like some info if they do... Thanks again ET...
