Ok my set up now is just a one monitor Sony 19in SDM-HS95P
and I have a NVIDIA GeForce 6600GT video card. Monitor is plugged in the digital input. Looking to add the same monitor so I can have my first dual screen. Is it as simple as buying the second monitor and plugging it in to the analog section? I have never worked with a multi set up so I am not sure if I need a new video card or anything else. Thanks to anyone that can give me a hand. Enjoy the weekend

  2. Yes, it is as simple as that. If you have two out-puts, you should be fine. Make sure you have all the up to date drivers installed, and when you start up with the 2nd monitor plugged in, the card will then do the rest.

    Are you using LCD's?

You know I was looking at LCD's at CompUSA last week and wanted to check on the Viewsonic VA1912wb which had really good reviews here http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1785939&Sku=V18-1960
and is very reasonable. But in person it didn't seem that bright, which I like. The one you have had the best picture of all the ones they carry but was quite a bit more. So you do really like it? I have a 21" Dell/Sony Trinitron CRT which is great but weighs just slightly less than my van. LOL :D
BTW couldn't find the one you have on BestBuy's website. Looks like they charged you the price for the 17" LCD. :)
Here's another thread on 19" LCD bargains in case anyone's interested http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=70113
