Honesty would have been, HEY I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT GOD AT MY BROTHERS FUNERAL.

 

Just because he wasn't religious, doesn't mean he is not with God.

 

By giving your own example of "honesty", you imply that his statement was dishonest. How so?

if i had a non-religious brother who gave his life in a war, I'D BE PISSED to think some jesus worshippers think he just gave up his life on earth and is now living happily ever after with jesus in heaven. as his brother stated, HE'S DEAD. he gave EVERYTHING HE HAD AND IS GONE FOREVER. to say he's with jesus or some crap is insulting.
