Actually, I did not get filled. That is why I did not post the fill details. You are correct however, had I gotten filled I would be waiting on my stop loss. Really too bad that you have decided to stop here. The day is still ahead of us. I intend to continue and post my trades to the end of session. Good luck, and nice show indeed. Lefty By the way, for those who want to learn something of the ES market. Monday's are notorious for low volatility, range bound trade. Mr. Gilmore had the right idea when he went short at 71. That is a trade that I should also have taken. Also 5 bars ago, you have a doji and signs of a reversal. I should have taken that trade (long) as well. As far as I can tell, Mr. Gilmore did not take it either. A friend pointed out that this kind of situation cannot help but affect my trading. Although I did not think so at the time, I see that I have missed two trades that ordinarilly I would have taken. Mr. Gilmore (or whoever is actually trading) did the right thing and made a couple of points. Thats how is should be played on a range bound Monday. Good for him. Now back to work.
You can be so polite when you are humbled for a change. Now are you going to put your dress on and parade in front of us in your high heels? )) BBG PS:- The market was expecting a bust down today. It hasn't happened yet but it is still possible.
Gilmore seems benevolently abrasive... bark def worse than bite. definitely hilarious. More importantly - he navigated some pretty tricky waters this AM - considering this small sample -- he's either lucky or good.
Lefty, don't forget there is another "30-minute editing" timing rule which has been well known to most ET posters to make high-probability "realtime" calls on ET. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32796
Mr. Gilmore: I don't feel humbled by making the wrong choices today. I feel quite human. A little sorry I didn't take more care in my analysis, and regretful that I did not adjust quickly, as I might normally have given that Mondays are often range bound. In retrospect, I agree that we will probably see a move later in the day. I would hope it will be north, as I plan to jump on board then. Since my loses are within my normal plan, I feel about the same today, as I would any day of the week. One thing that pleases me is that you have displayed your technique for trading a range successfully and your pleasant disposition as well. Now other traders who may wish to spend $1800 have some idea of what kind of commentary you will be providing as you go about your work. Lefty
