What's the point/purpose of using tight stops anyway, particularly when claiming most of the calls are so right!? PS: Has any vendor on this thread considered to use a third party service such as http://www.collective2.com , instead of a private room, to verify the calls and promote his/her services? http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=40758
You do not know shit from clay. You admitted that ages ago. I don't want the likes of you in my room you just don't know shit about the market. How come I have sold 5000 + books over the years and I have only 53 members in my room. Was it some mistake on my part? Not at all. The world is full of imbeciles who don't read the written word and forget to go back and reread. They would rather take another idiots word for it that they cannot win and reduce themselves to a level of total incompetence in studying systems and books anyone can buy for less than $10. Did you think for one moment that pro traders spend $500 a month to $2000 a month to gain an advantage or are you just another fish in the barrell that we use for shooting practice. Well it is not my problem, to be quite honest all I need to do is make it known there is another way. Don't come to me I don't need you, go somewhere else. I don't need to educate you all I have a responsibility to do is make you aware and then my mind is at rest. I once had a car business and my overhead before I started to sell anything at the beginning of the month was $20,000 and I didn't buckle and complain that it was unfair. I just bought and sold cars until I made a profit. So you learn to do that if you can. What's it really matter to me if you can't do it! BBG "In my opinion, Mr. Gilmore has done little more than advertise his chatroom, and display his temper (or rather the lack of control of his temper). To "read the tape" requires focus, the ability to think critically and react quickly, and most importantly, the ability to control emotions and ignore stress. If you look back at the posts, what impression do you get from Mr. Gilmore's outbursts? How likely is it that Mr. Gilmore has the ability to think clearly and execute on this level? Something is wrong with this picture."
Mr. Gilmore: Frankly, I doubt that any professional trader would stay in your room for long. I operate in the markets every day, using skills that consistently provide profit. So far, I see nothing that would motivate me to employ you as a service vendor. Also I have to wonder how Mr. Rifkin feels about your comment that you "made him the trader that he is today". I wonder if he appreciates the "fact" that his professional standing depends so much on your influence. If in fact he "thanks you publicly", that may indicate that you have some financial arrangement that benefits him with regard to your chatroom income. Your assertion that you have a "secret" to profitable trading and that you are revealing it to us is simply not professional behavior. Your comments have the air of a carnival barker rather than a professional trader, and to assert that you don't want me in your room is laughable. Despite your insults, you need people like me, because like cigarette smokers, your chatroom participants will periodically either bleed to death or get smart and quit you "cold turkey".
You means I Well I have offered you and Larry Williams if he wants it the chance to put up or shut up - ET now knows it. Are U up to it or not? Look you say all the right things I am not putting you down but don't be so presumptuous that I would let this drop. I welcome to get you in public and see what you can do in a controlled environment. I believe you are capable otherwise I would not offer you the opportunity. I have guys standing 5x5 that will come to this. )) BBG CC: ET
Bryce, Itâs going on just shy of 3 years since I met you. In my first letter of gratitude I had sent to you about a year after meeting you, I mentioned I have learned more from you than from all other educational material I have ever purchased in my twenty years of experience. Now thatâs saying a lot because as you found out a bit after my joining of your Club 144 I had been trading over 20 years, along with mentoring traders for now over 11 years. Quite often I get many traders who have contacted me for my mentoring services and have seen my comments on your website about me stating that I learned more from you in the first year we met than my previous 20 years of my experiences. They ask me how is that possible? If I have been trading and mentoring traders successfully all that time. The answer I always give is, for me the most important lessons I received from you were in the stories you presented about many of your own life experiences and how you dealt with the situations. Many of those stories had nothing to do with trading at all! But for me, I pick up from all of those subliminal messages you were sending, and to me they had everything to do with trading. I understood your reason for your delivery, which was most important. Your messages made me think, and that is exactly what trading is all about. For some, they did not get the real meaning of why you would share your personal encounters, but the messages were very clear to me. The messages raised my level of awareness and made me think more about what other traders were thinking. That in itself gave me even more of an edge. You taught me to think two and three steps ahead and to visualize where the next pattern would complete. You taught me itâs about being more flexible as a trader. You confirmed to me that trading is a way of life and not a job. You confirmed to me that trading has to come from your heart and be a passion if you are going to succeed. The ideaâs you teach are not new, but seeing how you put things together was most important and unique! I can go on and on, but it would take pages and pages. I can say oh I wish I met you 20 years ago, but that was not the case. I know you now that is what matters. Just the same for trading, we trade in the ânowâ state of mind. I canât dwell on the past or worry about the future. Your to the point attitude is the best attribute you have as a person and that is what I love about you the most. You have made me a better trader and a better mentor to traders. As always I never could thank you enough for all the wisdom and knowledge you have shared with me.
Scientist - Leo You have dropped the ball - I gave you an opportunity to really stand up in public like I have had to do over the years by being silly enoung to try an preach to the unconverted - still I have done it because I know what it takes. Your decline has let the whole ball game down. I am going to publish this in ET just as an example of what I have to endure in my position as HEAD COACH and you are going to have to live with it. BBG : > Bryce, > > I thank you for your confidence in me, however it is not just about proficiency. I have come to realize that I do not wish to let my ego interfere this much with my work, as well as the fact that I wish to preserve my anonymity. Both of this is not the case, and my anonymity has already been repeatedly violated by you posting my name on this forum. > > I have heard stories of traders being stalked by fanatics, some of which are well-known on ET, and I do not wish to risk such. I have also received personal threats from people. Please understand that while deep down I like the idea, I have to make it my first priority to protect my family, my first lady etc. As much as I like to, I cannot give these principles up for an ego trip. The protection of my private life has absolute priority. > > The Sydney comp, clearly, is going to offer nothing like anonymity. Heck knows, it's probably going to be on TV. > > Alternatively, I think both of us might consider signing up with the Robbins World Trading Cup at some point, in which case the whole world will see what we can do, and we are allowed to use anonymous aliases. I might do this once I'm on the absolute top of my game. > > > Bryce, I am writing an extensive message of resignation from combat on the ET boards as we speak, which will give the victory to you by default. > > As you probably already know, the opinion of ET members doesn't matter much to me, so they can go and whine about it, I don't care. > > You have demonstrated your knowledge of the markets, and I need no longer see how good you really are. The mission has been accomplished for me. > > As such, you deserve the victory and I hope you enjoy it, as well as your encounter with Larry Williams. I know who I'll be betting on and it's surely not Williams. > > As for your many methods and theories, you do not agree to share that knowledge, so I will probably never find out whether there is any merit or substance to them. As such, I will never be advocating them either, or even trust them, as I would not believe in the topics covered by you (Gann, Astrology, Elliott etc) unless I saw actual proof that they work. And I certainly wouldn't pay money to find out, as that would be a risk on which the possible gain seems disproportional relative to possible loss. > > Well, some people need the ego kick from winning competitions etc, I don't. Perhaps I am not as good a trader as you yet, if things like these would not affect your trading anymore. In that case, congratulations once again, and a deserved victory. > > Best Regards, > L
Mr. Gilmore: To the extent that those comments are sincere, I think that is wonderful. Strange though, that Mr. Rifkin, for all his previous experience and contact with you, believes that the most valuable lessons that he has learned consist of "stories you presented about many of your life experiences" and that "many of those stories had nothing to do with trading at all". While that is all very touching, I remember learning those lessons from my father around the age of 9. Aside from these "life experiences" and the ability to "think 2 or 3 steps ahead", there seems to be a dearth of concrete examples of techniques, or methods relating to actual trading. Apparently for a fee of $1800, one can expect to learn lifes lessons, and how to "think ahead". Frankly I cannot argue with the "letter" you offer. If your clients think listening to your life experiences and learning to think ahead is worth $1800, then so be it. Lefty. By the way, the "message from Leo" fools very few I assure you.
Leo, My advice to you and I think you have a lot to offer is to start your own chat. I am not going to provide my base of knowledge to you to do it. You have your own and are capable. I put you in my room and not one of my guys canned me they liked you and that was great. So you see how it is. I am not a taker I am a giver. That's life pal. BBG ebiz wrote: > Bryce, > > Just wanted to know what your last words are on the deal of freely sharing your materials. If they are a clear no, then I will never find out whether there is any true merit to those methods, and will have to assume in my ET reply that they are indeed likely snakeoil - Since you probably would not consciously hold back unless you knew that they indeed might be dodgy. > > Please remember that while I respect your trading abilities, I still may assume that they are in no way related to your actual sold materials. You could be doing something different or else to make your methods "successful". I don't know that. As such, I must stay assuming. > > So I welcome your last words on this, as to whether you are still interested in this deal - which is totally clean and fine - and will indeed impress people on ET when I openly explain it. If anyone can pick things up fast, then it's me. If I find it's good stuff, then the world will hear about it, deservedly. And you will benefit from it, deservedly. > > As we are speaking, I am also pretty much retreating from ET as a forum altogether, as I no longer feel the need for participating in that asinine community - I'm sure you can empathize. I would rather found my own, highly productive trading forum / community, which is totally restricted to flaming outsiders and other nuisances. I think it will be a great thing. > > Regards, > L
You can have any opinion in this world that suits you. Steve, Scientist, whoever............... Did I tell you about the time I ........................................................................................... Well save it for another time. It's not important to you lefty why would you want to know? ))) BBG
I think this is the most pathetic scam I have seen in years. This bullshit is why retail traders have such a tough time finding real help. Really too bad. But of course, when you start with nothing, you usually end with nothing. I think it would be a good thing for newbies to read this post and ask themselves a few questions along the way. 1. Are there really two personalities (Gilmore/Scientist) here, or was this one poster using two handles. 2. Is there ever a reason to spend $1800/month to "learn" from a trader who cannot demonstrate any specific technique aside from the dubious "secret of 6 ticks"? 3. When and how do we know that a vendor is offering service that adds value to our work? Gilmore/Scientist, were this my site, I would simply boot your sorry ass off for good just for wasting my time!!
