ET'ers ask me all the time who I use as my accountant.
Not being a credentialed CPA myself, in posting I often refer to Green Trader Tax,
who IS credentialed and who IS recognized as THE expert on Trader Taxation.

That said, as I reorganized some stuff this weekend I came accross material
I found online when I was aggressively researching accountants.

Being that EVERYONES tax circumstances and needs are different, and most certainly different than my own,
without stating my position, the Watson CPA Group in Colorado is worth a look. They are NOT a trading/trader specific
operation, however Greens' niche and Greens' expertise is not foreign and not lost on them.

Again, they are NOT a trading/trader specific firm. But MY point is that there are plenty of
credentialed and capable alternatives to Green if you do the work to find them!

    Wink-ism

When it comes to profits, you will never have enough.
When it comes to losses, you will always have too much.

How this message finds you healthy and in good spirits.

Recently astrofin has caught my interest and stumbled across Astro-seek.com.
I remembered that you use astrology in some capacity what software are you using?

Hey there @Sprout. Thanks for the new year well wishes. Same to you!

I do use a little astro. But no software. I use data points easily accessible online.
In particular, I use planetary days/planetary hours pairing. In doing so, I am able to
project the time of expected (intraday) turns.

Mind you, I do not use ANY astro by itself as a trigger... I must have confluence with something else, such as expected news, POCs, volume sequences, container(channel) structures, etc. Further, I only use the most auspicious planetary day/hour pairings. So my usage is highly "filtered". I don't even put this info on screen (anymore). My usage only produces maybe 2 or 3 times for a given day.

I've worked with astro for many years. It is an IMMUTABLE anchoring TOOL. One of the more difficult aspects is time zone... Do you use the time zone of where you are trading from? Where the product is being traded? The main location of the underlying? Where a company HQ is located? You get the picture. FWIW, I use the location of the exchange where the product I am trading is located.

As for sites, here is the one I use for planetary days/hours... And there are MANY others!

For general astro I refer to...

And no, I am not into horoscopes. LOL.
And fwiw... we are currently in the middle of a Mercury Retrograde period.

This is great, thanks for the suggestions, checking them out now.

edit: these look like great sites, thank you

As for timezone, even though I'm not EST, everything I have is calibrated to that zone.

A friend sent me a spooky good interpretation of the mercury retrograde especially as it relates to Gemini and Mars. It really gave me pause for discounting it so heavily in my past.

    No problem Sprout.

Plus, you are already of the curve... you've figured out that retrogrades, (and moon phases, and void-of-course, and other mundane relationships) do matter!

Word of warning... DON'T MAKE ASTRO-FIN A RABBIT HOLE!

Starting off with the fact of it being IMMUTABLE DATA will help. There is no curve-fit. Things work a high percentage of the time or they do not. That of course is the work.

Don't forget to have fun too!

Too late, I'm digging the astro correlations, lately was how ES close on friday was the exact price/time of sunrise earlier in the week.

    You might be interested in this take, since you mention planetary hours;

Picked up UNG @8.48 this morning in ROTH account for swing, possibly investment.
Initially, a daily *closing* below 6.63 triggers exit plan.

Next for ROTH is metals... Looking to initiate for investment.
DMAT amongst more conventional names on a short list.
