  1. Oh, I have some more testing to do to release it. I don't want to dump it even on "beta" tester until it's pretty solid.

I'm scheduling to release the code around or right after the holidays because I'll have more time to do then.

Mean time, I'm progressing on that but focusing an all the licensing, legal, business, administrative issues, documenting, website setup, etc. to get ready for that point.

I will turn up the website at tickzoom.org over the weekend with documentation and the video so people can get a "look" at it.

Then I can focus entirely on releasing it.

I'll accept questions on the documentation during that time so that I can update, clarify, improve the documentation.

Anything worth doing is worth doing right.

    Sincerely,
    Wayne

  2. By the way, what do you want with the source? Under GPLv3 you can't use it in OpenQuant as a closed source system.

  6. PS. If someone is interested in looking on OpenQuant demo videos, demonstrating backtesting with 1M+ ticks per second, including market depth events, and switching between backtesting and live trading with one mouse click, it's here

    http://www.smartquant.com/doc.php

The source code, supported under 7/24, is also available, though it's not free :D

    Cheers,
    Anton

  9. Anton: what do you charge for the OQ source?

  10. Hi,

You should contact QuantHouse, www.quanthouse.com . They have an exclusive license for all SQ products. No promises, but there is a chance to negotiate a SmartQuant source code deal.

    Regards,
    Anton
