TICK / TRIN for Europe

Discussion in 'Index Futures' started by tradersaavy, Dec 11, 2002.

  1. Does a TICK OR TRIN exist for any European exchanges/markets ?
I'm trading European futures, doing allright so far, but it sure is difficult trading just off of what the FTSE, CAC, DAX and ESTX50 are doing off of each other.

  2. I know this doesn't help much, but I haven't found them. Also, I strongly doubt they exist.

Only thing I could find on cqg was a DAX volatility index provided by the Eurex.

You could try the sector indexes, like technology, banks, etc..

On another note, have you been making money on these index fut's, if so, what generic strategie did you use?

  3. Ditch

    Ditch

You could build a TICK yourself if you like.

  4. I use a pretty basic tactic: chart and volume patterns with a simpleMA laid over. I look at FTSE, CAC, DAX and ESTX50 to help determine patterns that are being created and when they all seem to be flowing together, take the strongest/weakest one.

To the other Gent that replied about creating my own TICK, could you give a little more in depth insight ? I use ESignal and IB.
