Tick increment for stocks

  1. I have noticed QQQQ has an 0.001 tick increment, and some penny stocks also have 0.001 tick increment. While the majority of all US stocks use 0.01 tick increment.

How can I know which tick increment a particular stock uses? Is there a rule (such as....stocks under $2 use $0.001 increment)?

Is a list of stocks that trade in sub-penny increments. Keep in mind that the sub-penny will be eliminated as of Jan.31/06 due to NMS. However, they are currently debating if the Q's will stay sub-penny due to it's derivative nature. We'll see I guess :)
