Tick chart question

I use Esignal and I was wondering how I can set up a kind of "tick counter" to know when a new tick candle appears.

just use $tick for nyse and $tickq for nasdaq

 

I am assuming that you mean that you would like to know when a new candle is about to appear, ie there have been 237 ticks in a 250tick bar so there are 13 ticks left to go before a new candle starts. If this is the case then all you have to do is have your cursor pointed on the current candle. The amount of ticks on that bar will show in the cursor window. In this case you would see a line with the following:

Ticks in Bar 237/250

Please note that you will not see this line unless you are pointed on the current candle.
