Hey guys, I’ve always thought the Reg SHO Threshold list is universally the same for every broker. Today, I was trading a security that became a Theshold Security, in the afternoon, with one clearing broker that I trade with but was still available too short with another broker that I use. Does anyone have any know if threshold securities are based only on the clearing firm? Any help is appreciated.
Different for pretty much every broker. Some will work to negotiate a lend from another shop - very opaque system stock loan. Most attempts to bring transparency have had little or no success.
