Unfortunately, he's not. This is why I have to be so overly pedantic with these guys. If I don't, they try to weasel out of what they said or insinuated, or use hyperbolic language to push narratives. Its a total waste of time - for them and me - but it keeps them within guard rails. GWB is one of the biggest problems in this area - makes all sorts of ridiculous claims, and then can't back them up.
Lol, you pantywaist. Oh, my rights! The Constitution! The Tyranny! We're on the verge of a vaccine and you're still being a fucking crybaby.
I am suggesting he should use state troopers and the national guard if sheriffs will not follow the order. I also mentioned he has used the national guard in the past for Covid orders so me calling, as you suggested, isn’t necessary. I hope you are straightened out now.
Got it. I appreciate you straightening me out. So. Do you believe he will call in the national guard again?
I suggest the both of you read Colonel Sherburn’s speech in Huckleberry Finn. It’s fine lesson in how mobs are dangerous for ignorant people and don’t make cowards into men.
I don’t know. I’d give it a chance less than likely but if the capacity of hospitals gets close to zero, it becomes more likely.
I hope he does. It will be an excellent case study of trying to use a law enforcement / military approach to locking citizens down, and the resulting response from the populace. I have a suspicion how it will go for him. He probably does, too.
Leadership is not for weak people. As a reminder, after World War II, the British voted Churchill out. History is the best judge.
People should be allowed to celebrate as they choose without goon squads patrolling the neighborhoods. That said my wife and I will not be making our usual trip to the in laws this year. Brother in law is not in great health and his 90 year old mother is hanging in, but not exactly spry anymore. Prudent to cancel, but I don't need the heavy hand of government making that decision for me.
