Thoughts on Larry Connors books?

  1. Long time ago, I don't remember. When I buy something about the markets, I look for pithy-something. Almost never get pith.

  3. You ain't got no dictionary? "Pith" = essence, vigor, substance, etc.

  4. Have actually tested any of the strategies? How do you know they dont have any "pith" if you have never attempted to trade them.

  5. 'Cause I'm a really smart guy with LOTS of experience.... and have taken $$Millions from the market.

    Can't you "smell crap from a mile away"? If not, good skill to develop.

    A LARGE part of your education about the markets and trading will be learning what "doesn't work". (Surprisingly little does.)

  9. Yeah, well... I'm not Canadian.

    But if you're interested in "market pith", suggest you check out Mark Douglas books... about the psychological aspects of dealing with the markets.

  10. That book is about mean reversion strategies. So, if you're not into this kind of strategy, you may not find it useful. Doesn't mean it doesn't work for others .
