That's misinformation. A person that's fully vaccinated...there's less than 1% chance that they can become infected with Covid here in the United States of America. More importantly, it's rarer for a fully vaccinated person to get a severe Covid illness that results in hospitalization. The other side of the coin...for a vaccinated person that does have a breakthrough infection...if the person is concerned about spreading Covid to others... Wear a face mask...similar reason why Doctors / Nurses wear a face mask in the surgical room or ICU room. A reminder of something I said to you many days ago. The United States has done a good job the past few months in getting the Covid numbers down...thanks to vaccines, vaccine mandates, and approved antiviral therapeutic treatments. This is our 2nd chance after we screwed it up last fall when school re-open. You know what ? We're screwing it up again as some states are now starting to see their Covid numbers starting to go up again due to hospitalization by those not vaccinated. In fact, Hospitals now in Colorado are nearing capacity levels "again" and now doing triage medical care...cancelling medical care for those that are not sick with Covid (e.g. cancer patients) so that they'll be able to take care of the seriously-ill Covid patients. You know there's a problem when someone is transported to a hospital by ambulance for a heart attack, stroke and they have to wait a few hours for medical treatment due to not vaccinated Covid patients. That's fuck up...we're scewing up again and again by those primarily not vaccinated. Personally, in my opinion, those not vaccinated should not be given medical care except for anyone under 18 years of age. Keep being intentionally stupid...you Covidiots are going to force the government to overstep "again" but this time do a lockdown. P.S. Several months ago, I watched an old video posted on Youtube of people protesting and yelling at lawmakers that "Seatbelts do not prevent severe injuries or deaths" in car accidents. Those idiots should have been forced to drive around in cars that do not have seatbelts while the rest of us wear our seatbelts. wrbtrader
CDC, FDA and others worldwide, all have documented the fact that the fully vaccinated can still carry and transmit the virus and still require masking in certain circumstances regardless of vax status. OSHA is requiring business to discriminate their employees to force vaccination. It has zero to do with actually protecting workers.
Vaccinated people transmit and contract at a low enough rates to be safe in the workplace. The unvaccinated do not. The unvaccinated are in fact a health and safety liability in the workplace. To be technical, OSHA is coercing employers to discriminate not forcing. It is an important legal distinction.
Evidence shows it’s not a debate. Can things change with time, it’s possible. Today, OSHA is on the right side.
COVID-19 vaccine efficacy, effectiveness, and immunogenicity Last Updated September 15th 2021 Immunogenicity is the generation of effective protective immunity against a vaccine antigen as measured by laboratory tests. Vaccine efficacy refers to how well a vaccine performs in a carefully controlled clinical trial, and effectiveness describes its performance in real-world observational studies. Evidence demonstrates that the approved or authorized COVID-19 vaccines are both efficacious and effective against symptomatic, laboratory-confirmed COVID-19, including severe forms of the disease. In addition, as shown below, a growing body of evidence suggests that COVID-19 vaccines also reduce asymptomatic infection and transmission. Substantial reductions in SARS-CoV-2 infections (both symptomatic and asymptomatic) will reduce overall levels of disease, and therefore, SARS-CoV-2 virus transmission in the United States. Investigations are ongoing to further assess the risk of transmission from fully vaccinated persons with SARS-CoV-2 infections to other vaccinated and unvaccinated people. Early evidence suggests infections in fully vaccinated persons caused by the Delta variant of SARS-CoV-2 may be transmissible to others; however, SARS-CoV-2 transmission between unvaccinated persons is the primary cause of continued spread. ---------- By the summer of next year...they'll have more data to give a more accurate assessment about Covid transmission from those that are Vaccinated versus those that are Not Vaccinated. They do know those Not Vaccinated are more of a threat to transmit Covid to others. Most new diseases it takes a few years to get enough data. Until then, they react to the data that they do have even if its small. Yet, I wouldn't worry about getting Covid from someone that's vaccinated unless you're indoors, unventilated room, the person not wearing a face mask while you're not vaccinated...a little more worried if the vaccinated person is also immune-compromised and has underlying medical conditions. Then again, if you were vaccinated, you'll have a lot less to worry about your own safety. Until then, there's the below article from the Atlantic. How Easily Can Vaccinated People Spread COVID? Vaccination is the best protection against infection. But when breakthroughs do occur, a very basic question still has an unsatisfying answer. By Yasmin Tayag November 8th 2021 The fear of breakthrough COVID-19 infections spoiled the summer. In the early days of vaccine bliss, many Americans had thought that the shots were a ticket to normalcy—and at least for a while, that’s precisely what public-health experts were telling us: Sure, it was still possible for vaccinated people to get COVID-19, but you wouldn’t have to worry much about spreading it to anyone else. Interim guidance shared by the CDC in March stated that these cases “likely pose little risk of transmission,” and a few weeks later, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said that “vaccinated people do not carry the virus.” And then came Delta. The hyper-contagious variant sent cases skyrocketing and led ICUs to yet again fill up with COVID patients. And it also spurred a full-on freak-out that our understanding of who could spread the virus was all wrong. In early August, the CDC published its findings on a huge cluster of COVID cases in Provincetown, Massachusetts, concluding that 74 percent of cases had occurred in vaccinated people. The supposed implication of that finding was even more ominous: Vaccinated people were just as likely to spread the virus as the unvaccinated. The CDC quickly went back to recommending that vaccinated people wear masks indoors while news outlets ran headlines such as “Vaccinated People With Breakthrough Infections Can Spread the Delta Variant, CDC Says.” The worst-case scenario—that vaccinated people might be going about their lives only to be seeding tons of new coronavirus cases—all of a sudden seemed possible. Three months later, we have fortunately not seen this doomsday scenario come to pass—the fears raised by the Provincetown report were largely overblown. But that doesn’t mean that the vaccinated are in the clear, either. Breakthrough infections are still happening, and they can lead to transmission. But we still don’t know just how widely that spread actually happens... https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2021/11/vaccinated-spread-the-coronavirus/620650/ wrbtrader
There is no debate but keep at it and instead of getting knocked out, covid variant K for kids a while down the like might have you standing over a grandkid's grave. Is he dead down there? its debatable. I'm not wishing evil in you man, but you are bringing it to others. There comes a time to put fear of needles away and man up.
Let's pretend Biden vaccine mandates and testing/face mask wear requirements are not legal even though 50 states currently use vaccine mandates to be educated in the United States for enrollment in schools (elementary) to protect kids from other deadly diseases...mandates in place for many decades. Who in their right mind would prefer to go to work surrounded by Not Vaccinated individuals in comparison to being surrounded by Vaccinated individuals when they already know the statistics that Covid Hospitalization, ICU admissions, and Deaths are primarily those that are Not Vaccinated here in the United States ??? In a nutshell, that's what this is all about. The result will be what's slowly occurring right now...businesses becoming liable for not having a safework environment due to those not vaccinated, increase in health insurance coverage for businesses, independent workplaces for the vaccinated that do not want to work with those that are not vaccinated, slowness in the supply chain, increasing cost of goods and many other economic problems or business problems. The worst, we repeat all the above all over again when the next Variant of Concern shows up that's deadlier than the Delta Variant. Personally, fuck those not vaccinated. Denied them medical treatment at hospitals having problems treating other patients due to capacity issues when those not vaccinated become severely sick with Covid except those under 18 years of age. We have a chance to keep these Covid numbers low but the Pandemic will continue to disrupt daily lives from this Presidency to the next Presidency because people continue catering to those not vaccinated. Reminder: When we were young...many of the red states pushed aggressively for vaccine mandates as a requirement to enter our primary education system (elementary) in their desperation to defeat Polio, Measles, and Chickenpox. The ways things are going, I wouldn't be surprised if that happens again if Covid is still with us causing havoc under a Republican President. Yet, those vaccinated will be protected even though are less likely to have a breakthrough infection and less likely to spread Covid to someone else. wrbtrader
Seeing that over 90% of truckers have contact with people when they either pickup or drop off loads. Tell us about other jobs that have no contact with people and are subject to the mandate. I fail to think of many.
