I have a family member living in Maine, RN working with a large at-home care/hospice type company. Does their staffing/scheduling, working 100% from home. But because it’s a “healthcare” industry they’re caught up in this. Luckily this person was granted a medical exemption by a doctor unrelated to the company. They’re still expecting to be fired as this goes along. No company should have to “bend the rules” to be in compliance. But the precedent for favored and targeted exemptions has already been set by Biden.
It's a big tourist attraction but I've never been inside...I think they have two locations. One in Evanston and the nearby Wilmette area. wrbtrader
Just a reminder that if you work in a company of 100 workers or more you are not required to get a vaccine but “strongly encouraged.” You are required to be tested once a week if you are unvaccinated.
Since it’s possible to carry and spread covid even if you’re vaccinated (please spare me the “how many times more likely) it’s entirely possible. Weekly testing for everyone should be required if OSHA is actually concerned with stopping spread since the vaccine apparently does not prevent infection.
Actually no and the degree of how transmissible vaccinated or unvaccinated has everything to do with who is safe to be in the office and not. So if I’m vaccinated and 80% less likely to contract and ~70% less likely to spread and I’m surrounded by people with similar transmissibility then we are safe. Now if you add people who are 400% more likely to contract and ~350% more likely to spread you’re going to have an outbreak regardless. Don’t forget measles and polio vaccination is not 100% effective, it’s vaccinating the herd that stops the spread.
