  1. tws works just fine for me

very simple for a simple minded trader

you enter the symbol, you buy or sell it

they have a forex trader, I never use it, don't even know how to use it, I just like the old tws

back when I was scalping I had hot keys set up for everything, buy the ask, buy the bid, buy bid minus one, buy bid minus two, sell everything at the market, increase size, decrease size

all at the touch of a key

but now I trade very slow, in the dark, under candlelight

so I ciuldn't find a hotkey even if I had one set up

IB's a great service. I've been with them for at least 8 years. Started small and have a few sizeable accounts there.

However, I'm dismayed by these commercials. If he would have aired them completely in his capacity as a private citizen and not as CEO of IB, I'd have no problem with that.

We're not becoming socialist. And nobody's disparaging success any more than usual. We're having a national discourse that we tend to have here from time to time. Because we're America, we'll resolve this and move forward. There may be a few more rules and costs, but if you look at history, we pitch back in forth from epochs of more rules and costs to fewer rules and costs.

That said, though I'm dismayed by the commercials, I will not be moving my accounts. Again, Peterffy has built a GREAT service. No complaints there.

  3. obviously you don't like to feed into the extremities of politicals just to see people squirm on the other side for sadistic pleasures... :) haha

i do agree we are going through political cycles.. fiscal, monitary etc.. people have to feel strongly about something.. something they can personally identify with.. .. i personally identify with the people the work for a living, and believe in less hand outs and no gov taxes hidden as health care reform..

Call me Mr. Cornpone but I thought the commercial was kind of inspiring. Simple. Clean. From the heart.

I am sure a lot of people would have attacked Mr. Peterffy, as a deceiver and a hypocrite, if he did not identify himself as CEO of IB.
it is too bad that other CEOs do not take to the airwaves etc. to defend capitalism.

why don't you explain your dismay?

  8. I think you need to wake up and pay attention. We're doing the "Thelma and Louise" to Socialism and Odumbo is mashing the gas.

  9. The message is the same. He is spot-on for every point.

The fact that the ad mentions IB adds to his credibility, IMV.

(Are you afraid that because he mentioned IB and you have an account there... that somehow the government ghouls are going to come down on IB and that will have an impact on your account?)
