  2. Do you have a point, or are you just being impertinent, as usual?

Answer to question 1: Saddam's scientists received anthrax spores from the same private facility in the US that used to supply it to researchers worldwide. Upon gaining the know-how, moderately skilled researchers can culture anthrax on their own. As we learned a year and a half ago or so, putting it in a form of any military or efficient terrorist use requires greater expertise and specialized equipment.

Answer to question 2: The Soviets supplied North Korea with its first nuclear reactor, and with much of the rest of its expertise and materials. The Russians continued the relationship up until recent years. Critical additional help came from a number of countries, including especially the former West Germany, France, China, and Pakistan.

The US negotiated the so-called "Agreed Framework" with North Korea, under which North Korea was to convert its nuclear reactors to a "light water" type whose chief benefit, from the US and international perspective, would be that they don't produce material for nuclear bombs.

    Babak

    Kymar,

save your breath. msfe/wild only hears that which agrees with his opinions. Everything else is simply a conspiracy and a complex fraud perpetrated on an unassuming and simple public.

[case in point being the dancing Iraqi civilians shouting Amriki! Amriki! Amriki! -- this was staged in a Hollywood studio for our consumption]

  4. Yeah, I'm sure they had some leftover props from Three Kings, and probably the old contact list for extras and walk-ons.

    Why Colin Powell Should Go

    By BILL KELLER

The famous hardheaded definition of war is "the continuation of politics by other means." In the real world, though, war is the failure of politics. This war — undertaken at such cost to America's own interests — is specifically a failure of Colin Powell's politics.

Even if you believe that this war is justified, the route to it has been an ugly display of American opportunism and bullying, dissembling and dissonance. The administration has neglected other lethal crises around the world, alienated the allies we need for almost everything else on our agenda and abandoned friends working for the kind of values we profess to be exporting.

  10. Now here is a cut and paste job from me for a change.

It just goes to show something I have said for a long time i.e. that peace can only come from the heart and not from talks or demonstrations :

Peace demonstrators in France stab 2 Jewish boys
By THE JERUSALEM POST INTERNET STAFF

According to the Jewish Agency, Anti-American demonstrators attacked and wounded two young boys Saturday. The boys were participating in an educational activity of the Hashomer Hatsa'ir youth movement, taking place nearby.

The Jewish Agency called on the French government "to assume its responsibility for the security of its Jewish citizens, and to prevent violence against Jews or anti-Semitic acts under the guise of pacifist protest".
