Seems like he actually respects The Constitution and Rule of Law. Nice change. Stay the course.

Notice the "flag officers", the active duty "flag officers" stopped the neocons from starting WWIII more than once during the recent neocon plague years in case you were wondering who were the good guys. :D

Does he have this problematic "short man's diseased" Bolshevik Robert Reich as an "advisor"? Not good. Apparently he DOES NOT understand The Constitution. How much you wanna bet neither he nor Rangel can answer simple questions on what's in the Constitution? Think they've even read it?

  3. Yay. When we finally catch bin Laden, he'll probably end up with the same Constitutional rights as any American. Then he can hire a lawyer and spend years and millions of taxpayer money on a defense predicated on an abusive upbringing, too many "Adventures of Mohammed" TV episodes, and Twinkies. If (by some miracle) he is convicted on 3000+ counts of murder and sentenced to death, the anti-capital punishment crowd will then spend years and more taxpayer money as they argue that he should be analyzed and studied so that we may someday find a cure in pill-form for radical Islamists.

A kinder, gentler nation. Makes me gooey just thinking about it...

Yeah, all those high ranking military officers must be wrong and you're right. I didn't think of that. Good for you.

BTW - A British SBS team was minutes behind OBL a few years ago and could have killed or maybe captured him, but guess what, they were called off by the US. Reported in the MSM British press. Google it.

Makes you think the whole OBL thing could be scam. Nah, the US gubmint would never lie to it's citizens.

Cough - Gulf of Tonkin, USS Liberty - Cough

  5. Ain't it the truth. Millions of Americans are unemployed, the economic system is in meltdown, and his first concern is for the rights of terrorists. Lets just all start singing We are the World. Makes me wanna' puke.

  6. Presidents are always careful to avoid repeating the mistakes of their immediate predecessors. Instead, they diligently find new ways to fuck up.

Bush made sure to keep it in his pants, and Obama will make every effort not to torture terrorists or start unnecessary wars.

  7. Perspective, Cap'n. America's soiled reputation in the international community gets an immediate boost with the announcement. The US will require the willing participation of other nations to help shoulder the ongoing burden of fighting international terrorism. A good start is to get off their shit list and back to civilization. Obama's cabinet will not be principally preoccupied with the closing of Gitmo and the processing of its inmates. And it is to happen within a year, anyway. But the important message has been sent. As a responsible world citizen, it will once again abide by the Geneva Convention. The announcement thus far required little in the way of time or money, and will not interfere with attention to other pressing matters. And, Obama delivers on one of his campaign promises. And now on to other matters...
