Today at 2pm we have the fed beige book, that should push the market up another 100 points, tonight is AAPL, and that should push the DOW up another 100 tomorrow, then Thursday night MSFT earnings and Fri morning GDP.

All done and said, the DOW should be up at 13,350 by Friday afternoon, buy the indexes and sit back and collect.

Would anyone be surprised to see the dow knock off 200 points in a single session??

  9. no, i wouldn't be surprised whatever it does

if you want to be a successful trader, a big part is to stop having an OPINION and trade the price action

the dow is merely the aggregate result of all the people trading and investing in the dow stocks, and the dow futures.

it can do anything (given exchange restrictions on halts, etc.)

this market is going up, at least in part, because so many people are positioned for it to go down. their pain (short covering, margin calls) etc. is a big reason why markets make big moves. other's pain

  10. You nailed it Whitster. Too many opinions, worthless prognostications. Fact: the trend is higher, its taking every piece of bullish news and going up, its taking every piee of bearish news and going up. That is a bull market.
