CaptainObvious is one of the dumbest guys on here but his posts this year have gotten even worse he seems unhinged and possibly dangerous. The thought of a country where these dumb asses carry hand guns or worse and make split second life or death decisions based on their "judgement" is a pretty scary proposition. No way the US can allow this kind of thinking to take hold or the violence will be totally out of control.

  3. Ah-Ha, that explains the dark sedan that's been following me around. I think I'll report yours and the other resident leftists to the American Psychiatric Association. You guys are a great case study for TDS. Oh no, there's a knock at the door. Gotta' run.

  4. Our country is sleeping better tonight knowing you're looking out for us. You're a little late on the violence out of control thing though. I'd love to drop you off on Chicago's Southside, see if you make it through the night. Please stop by for a visit anytime, I'm sure they'll spare your life, cause you know, your a leftist and sympathize with them.

  5. If you are struggling with someone who is holding a deadly weapon, I don't think you are legally required to wait for them to hit you with it before using force yourself.

You see this as an easy case because you want to punish any and all use of firearms. The store owner is entitled to attempt to stop a thief. If the thief resists and is holding an axe, I think getting a conviction is going to be difficult.

  6. I agree I have seen a seriously dangerous and disturbing pattern in his posts too.

Even his buddies think that he is unhinged (they call it passionate).

  8. Maybe the feds would be interested in why a bunch of foreign trolls are so interested in American politics, trying to influence votes with thousands of posts, all day and night. They might wonder why the need to change screen names every now and then.
You dopes expose yourselves for who you really are. Fascists! Ready to control all thought and speech. Anyone who doesn't comply gets reported to the authorities. The unhinged leftist will be the undoing of the country if allowed to prevail.
Here's a report you can fill out and send whenever you like.

This story is really unique. The story owner has every right to try to apprehend someone who is shoplifting from his store, but the thief was stealing a deadly weapon. So if the store owner tries to apprehend the thief, he's putting himself in harms way.

I guess the fact that the thief was fleeing and holding the hatchet by it's head warranted the criminal charge. It will be interesting to see if the store owner is actually convicted.

Anyone who knows anything about firearms knows that you never point your weapon at anything you aren't prepared to kill. Firing a warning shot sounds fine until you consider the fact it could kill an innocent bystander walking down the sidewalk. You never fire warning shots or try to shoot someone in an appendage because it's much easier to miss and create collateral damage.

I agree with you on his response. The first thing he should've done after the incident was call 911 and ask for the police and an ambulance.
