The ones who can't are prevented by Republicans who pass laws making it difficult for the to do so. And still, the Democrat candidate wins the popular vote. Keep digging. I can still see you.
Not really. Your comment about popular vote and all of that shamefully and embarassingly presupposes that there are not many traditionalists in the the dem party just because there are so many loons. Your failure and that of your ilk to understand that there are many traditionalists amongst the dems is one of the reasons why so you are so gobsmacked at watching the dem party losing it's grip on areas that you think are owned by dems- such as hispanic voters. The dem party is wall-to-wall with "the party is leaving me" dems.
My new hottie is getting more Republican support than meets the eye. I may not like her politics, but I admire her integrity and her willingness to put country first. Many Republicans secretly tell Liz Cheney they support her but won't say it in public for fear of Trump, a new book says https://www.businessinsider.com/republicans-back-cheney-but-not-in-public-fearing-trump-book-2022-7 Republicans privately offer support to Liz Cheney, a new book says. But few do so in public for fear of President Donald Trump, it said. Cheney is one of few Republicans to oppose Trump, earning his wrath in the process. Republican lawmakers privately support to Rep. Liz Cheney but refuse to do so in public for fear of former President Donald Trump, according to extracts from a new book. The claim appeared in "Thank You For Your Servitude," by Mark Leibovich, a political writer who speak years at The New York Times Magazine and now writes for The Atlantic. The book is devoted to exploring Trump's circle, and alleges that many people who support him in public are hypocrites who privately dislike him. One Republican member of Congress to vocally oppose Trump is Cheney, who was stripped of a party leadership role in 2021 for criticizing the former president. Since then, Cheney has found an influential spot as one of two Republicans on the House committee investigating the January 6, 2021, insurrection at the US Capitol. In his book, Leibovich wrote: "The wonder of this was that many Republicans agree with Cheney, quite a few of them members of her caucus. They say as much, tell her what a great job she is doing, how heroic she's been." "But they only ever tell her this privately, always privately—just between you and me, please don't repeat this, off the record, okay?" Cheney has been made a pariah in the GOP over her opposition to Trump and is facing several ardently pro-Trump primary challengers for her Wyoming congressional seat. The extract continued: "Colleagues approach Cheney, people she's been friendly with for years, a colleague who might have just trashed her into a microphone or voted to bounce her as the House Republican Conference chair. "They look at her, as if they were really worried about her well-being— especially certain male colleagues. They look her in the eye, all faux caring and protective, maybe touch her arm. And they'll ask, 'Are you okay? You hanging in there?' Cheney tends not to appreciate these gestures of concern," wrote Leibovich. In the wake of the January 6 riot, some senior Republicans, such as House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, were publically critical of Trump, and in private conversations called for him to be held to account for provoking the violence. But as Trump's popularity with Republican voters held firm, most backed away from their positions and positioned themselves as Trump loyalists, and have since sought to undermine the credibility of Cheney and the rest of the January 6 panel.
If Liz needs to tell herself that there are lots of people who like her but just won't say so and it gets her through the day, then go for it. Otherwise, out in the real world, her polling numbers look like shiite and if people are afraid of Trump and afraid of speaking public I doubt that that is a big factor when they are polled. And Wyoming is only 15% democrats so all these crock theories about dems getting out the vote for Cheney- are just that- a crock. She is welcome to campaign and try hard to beat the odds though. She will have plenty of time to rest up after the election so why not.
Oh excuse me. You made a point and posted an article that supported it and then I made a post that was a 100% in response to your point. Since you mind is obviously fuzzy from all the weed you and your ilk smoke, let me give you a reminder of what you said: "My new hottie is getting more Republican support than meets the eye" Now that I have cleared the smoke for you. You can read my reply again to see how it 100% relates to your assertion. Or at least others can. Getting to be rehab time again for you buddy. Or maybe your girl Liz crossed her legs and cut off the blood supply to your brain.
The article refers to Republican politicians who are afraid to criticize Trump in public. Did you read the piece? That is where the support is coming from. Again, did you read the piece? And the fact that I said I admire that she is putting country first implies that it is happening at an expense to her - that of losing votes from an idiot Republican electorate. The electorate is not the topic of the piece. Again, did you read the piece? And, again, are you a bot? Or just an idiot with an Internet connection?
I see. You are making the point that she has a lot of hidden support from republicans inside the beltway but not much from republicans who actually vote in her state so she will not around after the election to enjoy the support from the Beltway Boys. That's a great point Freddy. I guess we need to remember that your central focus was on whether your girl was getting emotional support in DC and not whether the voters were about to eject her. Can't stand in the way of love I guess. Idiot. Get a blow-up Liz Cheney doll for your bedroom to get you through the transition after she is tossed out.
