"The Rule of Law" only applies to republics. We were a republic, once upon a time, but we left that safe haven a long time ago. We're a democracy now. Democracies are unstable. Anarchy follows, then a chain of dictators that "keep the peace." There's no sense bitching about it. Just prepare for the future. Find a group of bright folks who seem to have a grip on the current situation and discuss next steps with them.
