Real parmesan is delicious though, it's worth the money.

 

There is a second reason for the expensive price: financing 1-3 years beofre the cheese can be sold.
There a huge warehouses where the cheese is stocked as collateral to get loans from the bank. Banks control these warehouses.

I had heard about this. It's both so weird and ingenious at the same time.

 

It's delicious. It's deserved the huge worth.

 

It's not my favourite cheese, but it's definitely very interesting.
