In reality, the issue has nothing to do with colour, and everything to do with experiencing poverty in the US. If more black families are in poverty, and the US doesn't create enough of a social safety net to help them in their time of need, then the negative outcomes are not surprising. It has absolutely nothing to do with skin colour or culture. I'd also look at quality of public schools in areas of the US.

  2. There are plenty of asians that are very poor and yet they dont pump out a bunch of babies out of wedlock. Its a cultural thing with blacks.

Actually the percentage of single parent black families in Canada is 19% rather than 5% -- which still is much better than the U.S.

In Canada, close to 2 in 10 Black individuals were in lone-parent families.

Regarding the household living arrangements of individuals, living in a couple with children (34%) was the most common situation for the Black population, a result similar to what is observed in the rest of the population. However, the proportion of persons in a lone-parent family was at least two times higher in the Black population than in the rest of the population (19% and 8%, respectively). Among the Black population, nearly 70% of these lone-parents were women.

Black immigrant women have a higher rate of lone parenthood than other immigrant women. In 2016, nearly 30% of Black immigrant women aged 25 to 59 were lone-parents. This was 20 percentage points higher among women in the rest of the immigrant population.

In 2016, Black lone-parents were more likely to be living in a low-income situation (34%) compared with lone-parents in the rest of the population (26%).

I do agree with you that enough of the continual racist themes that some individuals are posting. It is one thing to discuss race in context of politics -- it is another thing entirely for someone to continually post attacking & demeaning a particular race. IMO this is unacceptable.

  5. Those who cry racist when only facts are presented might be downtown somewhere about to riot, loot, shoot cops, and light fires in order to burn down buildings. Some call these people BLM.
