This is terrible

  1. It is embarrassing that so many Americans don't understand that US citizenship is not a state's rights issue, it is a federal issue.

    Laws can be passed by a state, then they are either upheld or struck down by the federal courts as being constitutional or not.

    So, Arizona can pass their law, and then the federal courts will decide if it is constitutional.

    Now, an amendment to the constitution is an entirely different matter, but my guess is that this will be decided by the US Supreme Court...though that may take many years for the process to work though the system.
