Totally agree that its sick. (And I wonder that the pervs actually bring their animals to vets...wonder what they tell them caused the injuries...) However, Sweden does not = Europe, and is not representative of Europe as a whole. Have to wonder what led up to the decriminalization of bestiality in the first place... I mean, was there a lobby group of some sort or what??
Animal rights is one of the very few issues where the government should be doing MORE to stop animals from suffering. (I realize I'm contradicting the standard Objectivist/Libertarian viewpoint on this issue. I do that sometimes.) If the perverted acts don't harm the animal, fine. Otherwise torturing defenseless animals is a far worse crime than many 'real' felonies.
