Judge calling criminal DOJ's bluff: https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/ju...-make-decision-andrew-mccabe-charges-n1060971 Judge presses DOJ to make a decision on Andrew McCabe charges Judge Reggie Walton said he'd release documents in McCabe's case by Nov. 15 if the DOJ hasn't decided by then whether or not to charge him. "So the government will have to make a call. If it doesn't, I'm going to start ordering the release of information" after the next court hearing on the case on Nov. 15, Judge Reggie Walton warned the Justice Department's lawyers, according to a transcript of Monday's hearing. “I think our society, our public does have a right to know what's going on.” The hearing was part of an ongoing lawsuit brought by the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington against the Justice Department over records related to McCabe's firing. He was terminated in March of last year by former Attorney General Jeff Sessions, two days before he was scheduled to retire, on the grounds he'd made an unauthorized disclosure to the media and then lied about it. The CREW suit aims to find out whether the firing was politically motivated, since President Donald Trump had been calling for McCabe's ouster. Lawyers for the Justice Department have contended that those documents should not be made public because McCabe still might be charged criminally. McCabe's attorneys urged the Justice Department not to indict their client last month following reports that prosecutors had presented the case to a grand jury that declined to indict him. Anne Weismann, a lawyer for CREW, told Walton that McCabe has had "the sword of Damocles over his head," and the public should know what's been happening behind the scenes. "We're in dark times where there's growing evidence that the president aided by the attorney general is using the power of his office to go after perceived political enemies. He's going after the intelligence community. He's going after the law enforcement community. And we believe that Mr. McCabe was swept up in that," Weismann said. "Going after the courts too," added the judge, a former federal prosecutor who was appointed to the bench by President George W. Bush. "I would send this message to those in positions of authority in the U.S. attorney's office and the Justice Department that on the next occasion if the government has not made a call, I'm going to make a ruling ... I do think it's been a long time and this is just dragging too long. And those who have to make these hard decision need to do it. And if they don't, I'm going to start ordering the release of information," Walton said. "So you all have got to cut and make your decision. It's not a hard decision, and I think it needs to be made.”
https://www.frontpagelive.com/2020/...WavkbwLaO4b6uDUJJfqg_R3_Zh2VYIhe4i3PVYlvWJxCY ‘Wanted blood’: Trump sent State Dept on frantic witch hunt to find who ‘liked’ Chelsea Clinton’s clapback tweet Now it has emerged that the tweet, which got half a million likes, was also liked by the account for the U.S. mission to the European Union. Trump was enraged and wanted the State Department to find out who did it. At least 10 people were interviewed about whether they, as administrators of the account, had mistakenly or deliberately pressed the “Like” button. All of them denied any wrongdoing, those sources said. One individual familiar with the exchanges said the secretary of state’s top managers in Washington “wanted blood” and called Brussels numerous times demanding the name of the culprit. U.S. officials in Belgium were never able to give Tillerson’s office a name and soon after, the embassy restructured the Twitter account and limited access to just two individuals.
Other than Trump's campaign chairman having a Russian intelligence agent as his business partner; Kushner trying to get a secure communications channel to Russia set up via the Russian embassy; Trump asking Russia for help in obtaining copies of Clinton's emails; Roger stone helping to set up transfer of the emails from Russian hackers to the Trump campaign via Julian Assange in London.... Just little stuff like that.
Anyone referencing that has no credibility. Really? Asking, facetiously, on national TV is a direct request to Russia for help? OMG
How would you know he was asking facetiously. You wouldn't. You couldn't. All the quite detailed information is out there from highly reliable sources. It includes details on the transfer of information obtained by the Russians via Julian Assange including Roger Stones role. [The Equadorian Embassy was very helpful in supplying information.] But you, you remain in the dark. [Don't ask me for references or links. I am not inclined to waste my time hunting them down for you. They are easily obtained if you want them. And they have already been posted here on ET as well as on thousands of other sights. And you can always avail yourself of the numerous court documents.] When trump was bragging about sexually assaulting women, was he doing it facetiously? Would you think that's a wise thing to brag about facetiously. When trump was asking for the Russians help with his campaign, was that facetious. Was that a wise thing to be doing facetiously? Trump has been formally accused of rape in three instances, in the sense that there were associated court filings, he has also been accused of rape in a fourth instance by a person now proceeding with defamation charges against Trump. I don't think Trump's bragging about assaulting women was facetious any more than his asking for Russia's help with the election was, or his with holding of military support from an ally in exchange for help with the upcoming election was. What I do know is that you are one of Trump's suckers. His "base" is composed of suckers. That was made clear from the Woodward tapes where Trump appears articulate, intelligent, and capable. Contrast that with his dopey clown performances at his rallies. He is playing you guys for suckers. That's very, very clear to me now.. .
