  1. So you're not a trader... by your own admission/definition. Dude, you're a fucking wind-up toy. GTF away.

  4. The grandiosity section of the Diagnostic Interview for Narcissism (DIN) (Second edition) is as follows:[3]
The person exaggerates talents, capacity and achievements in an unrealistic way.
The person believes in his/her invulnerability or does not recognise his/her limitations.
    The person has grandiose fantasies.
The person believes that he/she does not need other people.
The person overexamines and downgrades other people, projects, statements, or dreams in a unrealistic manner.
The person regards himself/herself as unique or special when compared to other people.
The person regards himself/herself as generally superior to other people.
    The person behaves self-centeredly and/or self-referentially.
The person behaves in a boastful or pretentious way.

    Sound like anyone here? Anyone...?

    BWego-- get help man.

  5. Over the years I've been through (actual, proper) firms on the buy side that trade rather significant sums of securities of all sort, including futures...

I have never heard of a World Cup Trading Championships.

I have heard of c2, but only in the context of ET.

A trading competition is such an utterly stupid concept (um... you know you get rewarded for trading well right? and that there are actual firms devoted to finding you more cash if you are a good trader, right?)

Finally, earlier you said you are "featured on Schweser's CFA Curriculum".

Will you please enlighten us how exactly are you featured? Or does 'feature', must like your 'trading', take on a twilight zone interpretation here?

He was featured in the ethics section.

"Wolinsky has just passed the level one exam. He goes on message boards and writes how he is a genius and that he knows more about options than everyone else. What ethics code did he violate?"

I can't tell you guys how many times I was on the verge of running serious money until I heard that dreaded question: so how'd ya do in the World Cup Trading Championship?

Every time I hear it my head starts spinning, my heart starts racing, and my bowels become excited. Maybe it's just a nightmare, maybe none if it is real?.. but alas...

Every morning I awake, telling myself: "you will get there someday, you will get there someday". That, and a bottle of Macallan is all that keeps me going.

    btw, fantastic thread, very entertaining.

  8. Hahaha - and as I pointed out earlier, he violated Section VII (B).

The most hilarious part is that this exact scenario (sans the message board part) WAS in the study guide (I think it was Stalla, though) as a violation of VII(B).

  9. Someone ought to make a Toddlers and Tiara type of show about the World Cup Trading Championship.

    I'd watch it.

  10. Guys, seriously, this is an awesome thread!!!

I am 100% convinced our friend bwol is winding us all up, but, goddammit, is he entertaining or what?

P.S.: atticus, pls stop telling our main man to go away. I need bwol. I am most eager to learn more about the World Trading Championships. I could be a contender some day, when I grow up!
