    Hey Everyone,

I am interested in comparing different exchanges. I am particularly curious about electronic trading and which exchanges have given the best service; fastest order processing, fasted data processing, and all around best connectivity and reliability? Why do exchanges have such different capabilities? I would really appreciate any information on the subject.

    Thanks,

difficult - different platforms have different pros & cons

globex could well be fastest for execution, but can be temperamental some times

liffe connect (& ecbot) are functionally rich for treasury products and legging facilities

cant comment on eurex, as ive never traded there (or ipe) - but you dont seem to see many comments on its reliability.

reliability will be mostly affected by your broker or front end though.

i used to trade on nasdaq - disparate locations of course give a reliability and uptime not found on any futures exchange.

dont have any exact figures - just experience.

  3. Not sure where you're located, but that could make a difference. Right now, I believe the CME to be the fastest, and most reliable. Eurex used to broadcast their prices in one-second pulses, I think they either do real-time now, or have increased the pulse rate, so it's less of an issue. Others can confirm/deny that for you tho. CBOT generally has more problems imho, and is not as quick as the CME.
