Acrary's edge testing is no different to overfitting efficiency testing ;-) The higher the historical pct numbers the worst the real time results are... You get the picture
I dunno 'bout that. While I haven't had the time--yet--to digest the details of some of the more extensive posts from him, there are a lot of folks very impressed with his methodology for determining advantages. Again, I am so new at some of these aspects, so time will only tell how well it sits with me. Just that I have read enough to suspect he's onto some good stuff.
An edge is when you can front-run somebody, or insider info. Other supposed edges are mostly ethereal.
Perhaps this is true with undercapitalization. With the proper capital, there is no way that this blanket statement can be true. The only true edge in trading is capital and the management thereof.
It's possible if he is using his capital wisely and not overextending. It's by no means assured. He needs to have capital and also not overextend.
